TAB WEEKEND SOCCER HIGHLIGHTS: 1 – 3 MAY2026

GREAT LONG WEEKEND AHEAD

It’s another long weekend and TAB soccer customers have much to look forward to again with two carryover Soccer 13 bets, two carryover Soccer 10 pools and a host of exciting matches including the Nedbank Cup final.

BANK ON PALACE IN CARRYOVER SOCCER 13

The carryover action kicks off tonight with a R2.6-million Soccer 13 carryover likely to generate a total all-13-correct pool of some R5 million. The pool contains the four semi-final first-leg clashes in the Europa League and the Europa Conference League, which include an all-English Premier League clash between Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa.
This is a tough-to-call encounter. League positions suggest one-way traffic for fifth-placed Villa, who have accumulated nearly 20 points more than their rivals through the season, but Forest have hit a golden patch as they battle to avoid relegation and are unbeaten in their last eight matches.
A draw looks the most likely outcome and the Conference league semis look easier to predict with Crystal Palace set to win away at Shakhtar Donetsk, while Rayo Vallecano to home should be too strong for Strasbourg.
Friday’s R200,000 carryover Soccer 10 should attract a bumper pool and there are two standout bankers in home wins for Girona and Leeds United.
The English Championship concludes on Saturday with a full round of matches that will decide which one of Ipswich, Millwall and Middlesbrough get automatic promotion to the EPL along with Coventry, as well as the four teams that will contest the promotion playoffs.
The Championship matches all kick off 13.30 and are not included in the day’s carryover Soccer 13, set to total R22 million, and the carryover Soccer 10.
Frankfurt, Hoffenheim and Sunderland to win look the best banker options in the carryover Soccer 10, while the Soccer 13 is challenging with four EPL clashes plus a combo of English League One and Two games.
An away success for Sunderland plus home wins for Brentford, Leyton Orient and Stevenage look the best bankers in the Soccer 13 and Arsenal fans will make a banker of their team to beat Fulham at the Emirates. But that’s no given in light of the game coming between the two legs of Arsenal’s Champions League semi-final against Atletico Madrid.
