Star Major scratched from the July

Racing fans received a shock on Tuesday with the news that Hollywoodbets Durban July favourite Star Major has been withdrawn from Saturday’s R10-million race.

He is reported to have an elevated temperature by trainer James Crawford.

That means first reserve Choisaanada will get a run and will jump from draw No 4.

Trainer Erico Verdonese has revealed Rachel Venniker will take the ride.

Star Major was quoted as the 4-1 favourite.
