Golden Muse worth plenty of consideration
Golden Muse has her sights set on an all-weather hat-trick in the Try Unibet’s New Smartview Racecards Fillies’ Handicap at Kempton on Wednesday.
The daughter of Golden Horn was third on debut at Chelmsford over 1600m but it was when stepped up in trip she really found her feet.
She broke her maiden at Wolverhampton over an extended 1800m when despite showing greenness in running, she made all, winning by the best part of 5 lengths going away.
The Marco Botti-trained three-year-old was just as impressive next time out at Southwell over 2400m and again comfortably come home in front by 2.25-lengths.
She was third on her turf debut last time out over 2000m at Doncaster, but that was a good little race and given she got upset in the stalls and was slowly away, her effort can be marked up. A return to the all-weather and 2400m should see her back to winning ways.
Guadalevin can come on from her debut third in the Unibet 3 Uniboosts A Day EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes.
The Charlie Fellowes-trained two-year-old was only beaten 0.5-lengths at Southwell but caught the eye when making rapid headway at the business end of the race and can put that experience to good use to shed her maiden tag.
Tribal Queen can also put know-how to good use in the Unibet/EBF Maiden Fillies’ Stakes.
By Frankel out of the Group One-winning Wild Illusion, she raced at the back of the field when third to an odds-on Charlie Appleby stablemate on debut at Haydock and can be expected to improve markedly on that.
Billy Mill can put a series of course-and-distance near-misses in the rearview mirror in the Merv Cox Memorial Handicap.
The Adaay gelding followed a 1.5-length third with a 1-length second and again had to settle for the runner-up spot when beaten a neck last time out.
Glory Of The Seas can benefit from the drop in class to break his maiden in the Robert Graham Millar Memorial Maiden Stakes at Hamilton.
The son of Sea The Stars has been gelded since a third-place finish in a Chester maiden and the Roger Varian-trained three-year-old can put it all together now to get that winning feeling.
Quadrillion can make a winning return to the racecourse after an extended spell off in the QuinnBet Maiden Fillies’ Stakes at Yarmouth.
The Harry Charlton-trained three-year-old has not been seen since she was a 5-length second at Leicester in August to Alparslan, who won the Greenham this season and was last seen finishing fifth in the Irish 2,000 Guineas.
Over the jumps at Fontwell, Granny Hawkins can complete a four-timer for trainer Alan King and jockey Tom Bellamy in the Celebrating The Life Of Trevor Schooley Handicap Hurdle.
The Blue Bresil mare was winless in her first 10 races but has since reeled off two victories at Hereford and another at Stratford. – Press Association
