Find some love with Woodruff-trained mare

Racing fans are presented with a testing card at Hollywoodbets Scottsville on Sunday, and the exotic bets do not look easy.

On the positive side is that if one does get it right it should prove to be quite lucrative. Ideally one does need to find a banker and that is not an easy proposition on this card so as a result, one has to take a chance.

But there are some tools bettors can use when making that decision and that should be based on form, and the quality and form of the trainer and jockey.

Over the winter one has found that raiders from the Western Cape have generally performed well and one of those trainers has been Lucinda Woodruff.

The now five-year-old mare has not had the stock this season to be competitive in the top graded races but her runners have been doing well. One of those is Alltheboysiveloved who has only had two runs since arriving in the province and has been well supported in the market to win both.

She finished unplaced in both races, but she did have valid excuses for those defeats. However, what is particularly noteworthy was her last race over 1500m at Scottsville where she finished fifth but beaten just 0.95 lengths after being 5.20 lengths back at the 400m mark.

On Sunday she lines up in Race 6, a Class 4 Handicap over 1400m and looks ready to pick up a third victory.

She improved last time when the tongue-tie was removed and now having experienced the Scottsville track now looks perfectly primed for victory. Woodruff has engaged Callan Murray for the ride.
