All The Rage looks best in the delayed Winter Sprint

Inclement weather forced the abandonment of the meeting in which two Non-Black Type feature races were to take place but both the Non-Black type Winter Sprint and Winter Mile will now be run on Sunday at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth.

The more interesting of the two is the Winter Sprint over 1200m where All The Rage lines up for the Candice Bass yard. This three-year-old son of Rafeef has always been highly regarded by his connections and he has not let the side down.

He has raced nine times for five wins and three places, his only disappointing effort coming in his last start, which was the Grade 2 Diadem Stakes over this course and distance where he finished a 4.75-length sixth behind Questioning.

Considering that the winner has gone on to win both the Grade 2 Drill Hall Stakes over 1400m at HWB Greyville and the Grade 1 HWB Gold Challenge over 1600m at the same course, that was not a bad effort.

Also of interest, in that race All The Rage finished just 0.40 lengths by Asiye Phambili who went on to win the Grade 1 SA Fillies Sprint over 1200m at HWB Scottsville last month, beating Double Grand Slam in the process.

All The Rage takes a massive drop in class and will have Aldo Domeyer back on board. Domeyer has ridden him seven times for four wins and three thirds. He will jump from No 1 draw which is usually handy at this course, even though they race up the straight.

The main threat is likely to come from The US Of A, trained by Patrick Kruyer. This five-year-old was touched off in his last start but that was his first run back from layoff and was probably just short of a run.
