Muzi to get Cork Bay back in the No 1 box

Cork Bay has run 10 times for two wins and six places and stands out as the one of the best bets on Wednesday’s eight-race card at Hollywoodbets Durbanville.

This five-year-old Rafeef gelding is trained by Andre Nel who seems have found the ideal race to get his charge back in the No 1 box when he lines up in Race 6, a Class 4 Handicap over 1250m.

While he has yet to win at Durbanville. His four races at the track have yielded two seconds and two thirds and he looks well positioned to finally break his duck at this course.

There is no question he has been expensive to follow of late because in his last three starts he has gone off at 87-100, 91-100 and 13-10 respectively but has ended up with a second and two thirds.

This time the field looks a little weaker but he has been priced up at around 5-10 to this which does look somewhat miserly. However, he is likely to go out in the betting but it is unlikely to be a humungous drift.

There is one interesting change in that Muzi Yeni gets the ride for the first time and from No 4 draw, he could get the run of the race and bring this gelding home.

He does appear to be a banker in all bets.
