Fortune to claim more winners

Andrew Fortune once again proved that you can’t keep a good man down.

Returning after some two months following a series of serious injury, Fortune took just two rides in his first meeting back at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Wednesday – and won on both. Neither was an easy win but his sense of timing is as immaculate ever and he brought them both home.

With that in mind, he could be the man to follow at the same course on Saturday.

This time he has taken six rides on the nine-race card and most of them have winning chances.

But his best could come up in Race 6, a D Stakes over 1800m, where he rides Lark’s Song for trainer Andre Nel.

Fortune has had a good association with the three-year-old filly, having ridden her three times for one win and two places. The full-sister of seven-time winner Rainbow Lorikeet has only raced five times and her only win to date was over this course and distance.

She looks to have the most improvement to come and from No 5 draw could prove hard to beat.
