FAIRVIEW UPDATE: FRIDAY, 2 OCTOBER 2026

Gqeberha, South Africa – Fairview Racecourse has received 18mm of rain over the course of the week. Following penetrometer readings varying between 32 and 40 and gallops conducted on Thursday, 1 October, it has been decided to move the meeting for Friday, 2 October to the Polytrack.

While the 4Racing and Fairview track management teams regret that the meeting cannot be conducted on the grass as hoped, we have to prioritise the safety of horses and riders above all else.

Please note:

Race 1 will change from a Work Rider race to a professional event.

All other races remain unchanged.
