FAIRVIEW: FRIDAY, 7 AUGUST 2026 – RACING GOES AHEAD ON TURF

Gallops were conducted on Fairview’s turf track at 10am on Thursday morning. The going is still soft with a pen reading of 30, but the jockeys who rode the gallops declared the going as consistent and therefore the track management team feel the surface is good enough for racing to go ahead on the turf as scheduled. The 4Racing team are making every effort to conduct Friday’s meeting on the turf track as we haven’t been able to race on grass since mid-April. However, the weather forecast does predict rain, which may force the meeting to move to the poly during the course of the day, but hopefully that can be avoided. We look forward to a good day’s racing.
