ETERNAL CAN FORCE VICTORY AT HAMILTON

By Nick Robson, Press Association

Eternal Force can regain the winning thread when he makes the long journey to Hamilton for the Weatherbys Digital Solutions Clyde Handicap.

Trained by William Haggas in Newmarket, he was on a steep upward curve last season, winning at Redcar, Newbury and Haydock rising 13lb in the process.
He was aimed through the winter at the Lincoln and while the form book says he only finished seventh in that cavalry charge, he was only beaten two and three-quarter lengths.
The handicapper left him alone for that effort, but he surely remains capable of better and this smaller field may suit.
Jim Goldie trains plenty of winners at Hamilton and Gallus Norman might be his best chance in the Sodexo Live! Events Handicap.

After showing next to nothing in three bumpers, the seven-year-old was switched to the Flat but fared little better last season.
However, the Telescope gelding was obviously a slow maturing type as he was second at Musselburgh in April before winning there last month by over five lengths.
That was his first run over two miles on the level and while he drops down in trip for this by two furlongs, a 6lb rise should not be enough to stop him.

Ralph Beckett’s Wayward Queen catches the eye at Wetherby in the Book Tickets Online At Wetherbyracing.Co.UK Handicap.

The Zoustar filly must be in a contest to be the lowest rated in Beckett’s yar with a mark of 47, but the fact he has kept hold of her – and booked Oisin Murphy – raises the antenna.

She has been fitted with first-time blinkers and it would be no surprise to see her improve markedly on what she has produced to date now handicapping.
Sunshine Star can put a disappointing seasonal reappearance behind her in the Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 ‘Confined’ EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes at Lingfield.

Having made such a promising start to her career on her only run at two when second on her debut, she was sent off odds-on for a competitive looking race at Sandown.

She ran way below form there, though. Yet the fact there was such support behind her suggested she had trained on.

Down in grade she can be expected to put that display way behind her.
Fire Thunder caught a tartar last time out in the shape of Tinafromtransport, but can go one better in the Download The At The Races App EBF Restricted Maiden Fillies’ Stakes.

Second on debut at Wolverhampton when beaten just a head, she probably improved on that but was no match for the impressive winner. A race like this is surely hers for the taking.

At Uttoxeter Loriko can give Dan and Harry Skelton another winner in the Racing To School Reaches 25 Years Novices’ Hurdle, while at Ffos Las David Evans’ Persian Land should defy a penalty and maintain his unbeaten record in the Highbet Acca Odds Boost / Novice Stakes.
