Clark Griswold to lead the way at HWB Durbanville

Bettors will be faced with a tricky card at Hollywoodbets Durbanville but is, nevertheless, an interesting one.

There are some promising runner in action on the day but that elusive banker is not easy to find.

However, it could be worth relying on Candice Bass to provide the key. She has a good record at this track and her win percentage at this course is the highest in the country, currently sittng at 15.22%, ahead of champion trainer Justin Snaith who is on 13.99%.

She has five runners carded but her best could come up in Race 9 where she sends out Clark Griswold in this Class 4 Handicap over 1400m.

This three-year-old son of Horizon has raced six times for two wins and a third place and he could have a few more wins in the tank. Most importantly, he has run well at this track which is of particular relevance as many horses do not have a penchant for this tight turning and undulating track.

He is still improving and Bass has engaged Andrew Fortune to take the ride and that should help his chances.
